Pros:  easy to use
Cons:  many permanent abrasions on the item

Pros:  Can be placed directly on the material to be read. Magnifies dosage instructions on medicine bottles well.
Cons:  Could be a little longer in order to magnify the entire length of lines in most books/reading materials.
Would recommend:  yes
