This amazing piece of plastic works better than the $200 reading eyeglasses my opthamologist prescribed. I had surgery for epiretinal membrane and have some residual damage. Eyeglasses do not resolve the distortion I see in print. This magnifier is inexpensive, light, lies flat on reading materials, can be moved to enlarge, cuts glare, actually focuses! Be careful not to sit on it-mine broke. I even propped it up against my computer screen and it helped, especially with the colored print on the internet. Carson also makes a similar product which I ordered until the Magna-Page is back in stock. Hey, it's so cheap, try it out.
Pros: Lies flat, even perches on computer screen, inexpensive, portable
Cons: does not substitute for perfect vision, can be broken if you are careless...
