exactly as advertised

by Jim the good guy, from United States, AR Written on December 25, 2014
This holster exactly fits my Ruger SP101 357Mag with 3 inch barrel. It holds the pistol very snug, and does require a few days to break-in. I really like the suede lining. It protects the weapon without leaving wear marks. The full-grain leather is very thick, stiff, and this holster will probably outlast the Ruger. I like the holster, and may buy another one for a different pistol....
Pros:
  • Very well made

Bianchi 5BHL holster

by rockydoc, from United States, FL Written on December 14, 2014
This holster is well made and fits my S&W Model 14 Target Masterpiece very well. I appreciate the guard for the adustable target rear sight, and that the Pattridge front sight doesn't hang up. I would have liked for the suede lining to have been more plush. It just looks like the rough side of cowhide than suede....

Trusted Brand, Timely Delivery

by MTdan, from United States, MT Written on November 16, 2014
This fits my 4" S&M model 29 perfectly. After following the instructions on fitting the gun to the holster (squeezing the strap closed and letting it sit for a couple days), it is a comfortable, reliable carry. And, it sits high enough on my hip I can jump into a bucket seat with it on....

Gun Security

by tdhawkeyes, from United States, IA Written on September 25, 2014
I highly recommend this holster. I have this brand in multiple barrel lengths and colors. I insist that my wife and daughters use this style holster for the purpose of security while carrying. I always treat the leather with Ballistal to keep it flexible and well fitted to the revolver. This style holster works well on all size pistols J frame thru N frame....

Excellent Holster

by Philip Greer, from United States, SC Written on September 8, 2014
This holster is ideal for my Ruger SP101, 357 mag., 3 inch barrel. While I rate it 99%, I wish the belt loop was a little more loose. However, It may loosen-up some, with wearing. Overall, I am completely satisfied with it. Thanks....

Holster for S&W 629 Classic 5 BHL

by AL, from United States, ID Written on September 7, 2014
Bianchi always makes top quality products, I will not put my S&W revolvers in a cheap holster. You get what you pay for, only buy quality holsters for your pistols or revolvers. I got a good deal from optics planet, cheaper than i could get at a local gun store. Thanks AL...

Holster pictures inadequate

by sgm, from United States, NC Written on August 20, 2014
The difficulty with ordering holsters for, in particular, revolvers, is that the photos of the holster are not ever representative of the item. In this instance, while the holster in the picture of the item actually shipped is correct and representative, the holster pictured on the page to purchase was for a semi-automatic. It depicted a holster with a completely covered trigger. I have a strong preference for the trigger guard being completely covered on all my guns. My application is everything from hiking to snake walks to match carry. The consequence of this failing of the true representation of the holster for "a particular gun" is that I have ordered a holster which I will not use very often, perhaps only match carry. Walking through the woods with the potential for a limb to get caught in the trigger is not a risk I am willing to take. I recommend that in the future you offer photos like the one above or warn the purchaser in the description of the open trigger guard....

Best holster for field carry

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, NE Written on May 2, 2014
Leather is stiff when delivered. Treatment softens and when allowed to sit with gun in holster makes for an even better fit
Pros: The snap secured closure
Cons: Leather needs to be softened for best fit to revolver...
