Bianchi Foldaway Belt Holster - Model 101

by wingman100ll, from United States, MN Written on March 18, 2015
Perfect for my use. I carry a Sig P229 Elite. The gun comes off during the day when I'm working. This holster lays inconspicuously flat against my belt during that time. It's quickly pulled open to carry my gun for the drive home. I used to leave an empty holster on during the day or unthread it from my belt. This inconvenience was causing me to leave the gun behind.

This holster holds the gun on the belt line, rather than above where it can poke you in the ribs. (It's just like sticking the gun in your belt, but with better retention) The muzzle will hang down a little farther than others, so you can expose your gun when reaching high. But more importantly, in my opinion, the gun is positioned so the handle does not hang your shirt when you bend.

I have another Bianchi, a Bravo, and a Galco. These holsters have better retention, are faster to draw, and faster to re-holster safely. But for COMFORT, CONCIELMENT, and CONVIENIENCE, this one is hard to beat!!!...
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • cheep and effective
  • convienient
  • Great Concielment for a full size gun
  • Gun handle won't hang your shirt
  • Gun won't poke you in the ribs
  • Folds flat when not in use
Cons:
  • Muzzle hangs lower than others
  • Slow to reholster safely
Best Used for:
  • Every Day Carry

Single piece of leather, smooth finish on both sides, that slides on belt and forms a holster. The outside of the holster is this "strap" and the inside of the holster is your belt. Kind of a generic fit (multiple handgun makes) but is very size specific. In other words the large will only support a large handgun because a smaller handgun would fall through the bottom. Personally, I wouldn't use it for everyday carry so it is more of a convenience thing. It is similiar to sticking the gun in your belt but somewhat more secure. It has a purpose and it is on my belt now.

Pros: Lightweight, well built, concealable, generic use
Cons: Not the best security...
