Snap is snug and to the inside, preventing quick access, however, it effectively contains the 1911 in a condition one configuration, cocked and locked, with the hammer back and thumb safety on. There isn't much to it, simple idea and easy to install. The thumb tab is kind of stuck down to the inside, so it does not make these into a quick draw type. Great if you have lost or just don't like the flap. No adjustment on it, and its relatively short so whatever pistol used better fit all the way in or it won't reach.
