Best Boots!!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, PA Written on January 18, 2013
This was my first time buying boots online. I was very skeptical because I've always had a hard time finding comfortable, durable boots even in a regular store. After reading the reviews written by military and police personnel I decided to order. These boots are great! Very comfortable and no break in period. My feet stay warm without getting hot and sweaty. The Blackhawk boot socks are a good addition too.
Take it from the military and police. These boots are a great buy.
Pros: No break in period.
Cons: Haven't found any yet....

Decent all around boots. Could be better.

I've used these as general purpose work boots for nearly a year and they've worked fine most of the time. They are comfortable, true to size (for me anyway) and fairly long wearing. Recently, I'd say between 7 and 8 months of everyday medium impact work use the interior cloth lining(which is fairly comfortable, by the way) is coming apart at the heel and toe. Also they are not hot weather boots. I'd say temperate weather. Your feet -will- sweat. Overall, not bad boots, but I had hoped they would last at least a year before something started to go out on them.
Pros: Not especially heavy. Very quiet if you want them to be. Excellent traction on most surfaces. Not bad looking. Seem to do a fine job of repelling light water.
Cons: The laces that come with these boots are extremely prone to coming untied for no apparent reason, even when double-knotted. The aggressive tread on the outsoles can snag on things you don't want them to at times. Less than perfect inside construction. ...

I got the version with the composite toe and it felt like a pair of rubbershoes even for the first time I used it. No need to break in. Ready to rock and roll right out of the box. Though it would be better if it had side zippers, but other than that, I'd give it a 4 out of 5
Pros: Comfortable right out of the box
Cons: A bit pricy...
