I own 2 xdM's, a 3.8" 9mm and a 4.5" .45, this smaller Serpa fits both guns perfectly, it's length is perfect for the 3.8" gun whereas the longer Serpa is excess length for the 3.8". This fits the 4.5" great also, I prefer the less overall bulk of compact holsters like this which fit multiple-length guns of same model.
