Until recently, I wasn't a big fan of my 12-gauge Winchester 1300 slug gun. The recoil was just too much, especially the 3". This stock changed all that. IMO, it reduces felt recoil by 40-50% while using 2.75" slugs and by 30-40% with 3" slugs. That recoil is transferred to muzzle rise instead as the dual springs absorb the shock. My only complaint is that the near-straight angle of the stock makes the use of iron sights nearly impossible. With a normal cheek weld my eyes are still a couple inches above the sights. So I went back to the guns original scope, a Nikon 2-7X32 Shotgun Hunter, just to get lightly kissed in the eyebrow a couple times. This is due to the springs momentarily collapsing when the gun is fired, and the receiver and scope traveling backwards with the recoil. I have since ordered a shotgun scope with a full 6" of eye relief to correct this. I am certain this will fix things, although it's possible a good red dot would be a better way to go.
