Have you had a difficult time on which pair of Tactical Pants you should buy from Optics Planet? Well, I have done my research and tried on every tactical pant; and Blackhawk clearly wins. Do you guys and gals appreciate how much work goes into a ripstop tactical pant? There are stitches that about 1/4" apart throughout the entire pant. Thus the name ripstop. If you get hung up and something and the shirt tears, all those stitches help preserve the shirt. I have tried every lightweight pant available through OpticsPlanet. The ones from Blackhawk is the clear winner for a number of reasons. On each side you have slanted pockets. On the back rear right pocket, their is a pocket in a pocket, but it also closed with a zipper. The perfect place for your wallet and you never have to worry about losing it. On each leg you have a small flapped pocket.. Perfect for your cell phone or any small items you may take along. The large flap pockets have ample room to expand as you place your gear within it. Their is also a vertical zippered pocket just above the flap pocket. Did I mention most of the pockets use velcro to keep them closed, except those that have zippers. The pockets even have elastic dividers for your pistol magazines. The larger pockets can carry magazines for your AR15.
Now we get into comfort. These pants are the most comfortable of any tactical pant. The gusseted crotch does wonders in keeping the pants comfortable, even when you bend done. The hidden elastic waist band gives you plenty of play.It also helps to keep the pants comfortable as you move around and change positions. Sizing is very good, just use your regular pant size, and you are in! Now,if you are slim like me, you might be able to go down one size in the waist. I can't tell you for sure yet, as I just placed an order for the smaller size. Meanwhile I will not return the one's I have until the smaller size comes in. The gusseted crouch gives you freedom of movement without your pants riding up. There is even qa paracord ring on the right side. You can attach anything you would like. I know some of you prefer the did ring. The problem with the "D" ring is noise. When you use a metal ring no matter what you have hooked up on it will clank around. There was so much thought placed into these pants by the designers on the BlackHawk Team. The set out to perfect the tactical pants, and I think they have accomplished just that.Fantastic! These pants will last for years and years! I know many reviews have said they can be worn for business casual. I don't know what business they are in, but I would not wear these pants as casual business attire. In fact, I would't use any of the pants I have tried as business casual. They are tactical pants, and that is exactly what they look like. Can you wear them on a date, absolutely; but for business, I say Nay! These are the most comfortable pants I own bar none! Are they worth the money? Is that what you want to know? Then my answer is a resounding YES! Hey, I was in Costco yesterday, they had an all wool dress pant. Cost $50. They didn't have the elaborate pockets, and they definitely weren't rip stop. It would be nice in the price was a bit lower, but at $50 bucks they would be a steal. And for the ripstop, teflon coating and storage for your gear; BlackHawk got it right the first time. No other company manufacturer's such great tactical pants. Once you get a pair you will understand how much thought went into designing these. Look no further, these lightweight tactical pants from BlackHawk and OpticsPlanet are simply AWESOME!
Pros: Loads of pockets, zippered pockets
