Bandoleer review, Blackhawk

by WSP, from United States, AZ Written on July 30, 2014
This is a nicely made piece of kit. it is very handy, easy to use and quick. This is perfect when you need to move quickly, "thump" in the night etc, just throw it over the shoulder and you are good to go. I carry two mags, a light and a knife in mine...it is always ready to go....

Perfect Grab & Go Mag Carrier

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on October 28, 2013
This a basic mag carrier set up that will get the job done. I have it ready for shooting in the woods and emergency situations. Somewhat concealable under a loose jacket.

A shoulder pad would be a nice addition as I have a slender frame body....

Great rapid response ammo carrier

I also have the BH 6 mag carrier and I added this to collection because it had 4 rifle mags and 2 pistol mags. Not too big, not too small, just right....

BlackHawk Rifle/Pistol Bandoleer

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on February 3, 2013
BlackHawk product quality at a very affordable price. I use this as an easy range-day organizer for my bag and/or pack. Holds what I need and keeps everything from shifting about. If you are going to wear it, definitely benefits from adding a waist strap. Not a fan of black kit but for the price it works great. Would recommend as a backup grab and go item.

Blackhawk Bandaoleer

This is a great product. Very well put together and holds what I need. I do not want a full on vest or a chest rig, I can sling this over one shoulder and roll. The only addition I have made is a quick clip waist strap to keep it tight to my body.
Pros: Securely holds AR mags and double stcaked Sig 229 .40 mags...

Blackhawk Rifke Bandoleer

Makes for an effect and quick "grab an go" setup when deploying a Patrol Rifle as an LEO.

I especially like the individual magazine dividers. I keep a spare Surefire flashilght in one of the pistol magazine pouches.
Pros: well made and quick to deploy
Cons: bounces around when running...

Needs improvement

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 27, 2009
I gave this product a yes because of the quality and price, but I have some issues with it. I'm not a big fan of the over the neck, single strap, as it is very quick, but it does not stabilize the chest harness on its own. With duty gear on, its not real easy to put the belt loop snaps in place. I think a more traditional X style strap with a waist strap would be better. Where the chest straps are sewn to the back plate, makes the chest magazine carriers bow out in the middle significantly instead of lying flat across the chest. If the neck strap was sew on the top instead of the corner it would relieve the situation. Making it in OD, dark grey or dark earth would allow it more versatility with other end users. Its is a quality product but it just needs some redesign. I am currently sewing an X harness on mine and adding a waist strap.
Pros: Good workmanship, nice size
Cons: Poor strap engineering, need different colors...

Worth the $$

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MI Written on July 12, 2009
I use this as my "active shooter bag." The size is perfect to fit inside of my duty bag so I don't have to carry extra stuff in and out of my scout car. I use one of the rifle mag pouches to carry some basic wound stuff.

I wish it came in colors other than black, it would be easier to see in the depths of your bag/car/trunk.
Pros: Great size, small and thin
Cons: Lack of available colors...
