Great product, except....

by BenRN, from United States, MO Written on October 15, 2014
The interchangeable lenses don't grip on to the frame too well. I Bought these for the prescription insert so that I could use them in Surgery, and they are extremely comfortable and grip on to my face and ears for hours on end comfortably without any need for adjustment....
Pros:
  • Fits Great
Cons:
  • lenses
Best Used for:
  • Biking
  • Surgery

Bolle Vigilante Sunglasses w/ Interchangeable Lenses

by Yo, from United States, MD Written on September 2, 2014
I use these for cycling (bike). I really like the interchangeable lenses. When the weather shows it bright, overcast or major cloud cover, there is a lens that provides protection but still allows me to see! I also use the ability to have prescription inserts for vision including progressive lens so I can read the bike computer....
Pros:
  • interchangeable lens
  • prescription inserts available
Cons:
  • None

Bolle Makes Great Sunglass for Good Price. Vigilante have great ventilation for exercise

by Craig Anderson, from Australia, NSW Written on August 13, 2014
I've got Bolle frames that are over 40 years old and still working well. I bought the Vigilantes a few years back and have been happy with them. Lightweight, yet strong frames and the lenses have enough airflow they don't fog like many others do when running or riding. I was a little disappointed in the lenses as they scratched easier than I hoped for. I was able to get new lenses at http://www.thesunglassfix.com/Sunglass-Replacement-Lenses/2298-Bolle-Vigilante-Sunglass-Replacement-Lenses-74mm-wide/

However, overall for the price Bolle Vigilantes are hard to beat and I would recommend them....
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • Lens Scratching
Best Used for:
  • sport

Bolle Vigilante does the job of three different sunglasses (or more)

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, VA Written on August 17, 2013
If you are a utilitarian, you will love the ability to use these glasses with a different lens for all your activities. I use a dark gray or light gray for flying, I use the tennis optic for tennis, light or dark brown for golf. For driving, biking, hiking and just walking around, I pick the lens based on the sun and cloud conditions. I bought extra lenses so I now have at least 7 different lenses and I use them all. The alternative is to own three or four different sunglasses and that's even a compromise with my setup I can choose between a light or a dark brown, not just a brown lens. Ok so they aren't as stylish as gucci or prada but UTILITARIAN baby.
Pros: Interchangeable lenses for every condition
Cons: Takes some getting used to changing lenses quickly...

incompetence

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, IN Written on June 30, 2013
This is the second set I have ordered for my father. The first arrived with a scratched lens. The second arrived with replacement lenses that do not fit the frame. Bolle's quality control is highly suspect.
Cons: Bolle cannot produce a good product...

For the price of these sunglasses, a better ear (rubber) end piece should be designed.

Nice sunglasses

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NY Written on February 3, 2013
I wish they had told me the prescription lenses I ordered with the sunglasses would show up in a separate box a couple weeks later. There was nothing on the invoice about this. Kind of confusing till I called customer service.
Pros: good value
Cons: bit tricky to change lenses...

Awesome sunglesses

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 10, 2012
Purchased this pair of sunglasses mainly for sports and as a pair of daily use sunglasses which I can thrash around. Great value for its low price and it served its purpose very well. Comes with 3 pairs of lenses which was a real bonus and the soft sunglasses case holds the sunglasses as well as the two additional lenses. Changing the lenses was straightforward but requires quite a lot of force. This sunglasses wraps around my face very well but the sides are slightly too long, such that the curved tips extend beyond my ears.
Pros: Lightweight, good wrap around
Cons: Non polarised...

I have worn these great glasses for many years and althought not perfect they a good value for the money. The nose pieces and ear piece rubber tends to wear out while the rest of the glasses are still very serviceable.
Pros: Lightweight, good looking, well ventilated
Cons: Nose pieces and ear piece rubber tends to wear out...
