I needed a case for a Benelli Montefeltro shotgun with a 26" barrel. I personally hate having four to six inches of "extra case" material flopping around because most manufacturers only offer say 52" long shotgun cases. Boyt Harness is one of the few companies that doesn't follow that norm. The 50" case fit my shotgun perfectly with 1.25 inches of material left over at each end of the case. Once zipped close though, the case is snug around the weapon and it does not slide forward or back. The inside lining is nicely quilted and very soft. Exterior canvas is heavy, and the leather handle and accents are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I really like the piece of material inside the case that covers the zipper when closed that protects the firearm from getting scratched by the zipper. My only complaint with this case (as well as the other two Boyt Harness soft cases I own) is that the zipper does not start closer to the muzzle end of the case. I always squeeze the end of the case when inserting the muzzle of my shotguns to ensure the corners of the ventilated ribs don't accidentally catch and possible tear the interior lining (if one was in a hurry or hasty). Boyt are you listening? Overall, I would highly recommend these higher end Boyt Harness cases. This is definitely one of those items where you get what you pay for.
Pros: Quality material & construction. Heavy duty zipper. Spacious exterior pocket. Interior zipper guard.
Cons: Maybe a little pricey, but quality usually does cost more.
