update from last review

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, GA Written on February 24, 2014
So I purchased this sight on feb 2, 2014. When I got the sight I placed it on my weapon and went to the range. On the first range trip I fired 72 rounds. Was able to sight it in with about 11 rounds. Expected new out the box. So I was very happy with it and was excited, I planned on ordering a second one. so I went to the range this past Saturday to have a range date with the wife. Well, after firing a few different weapons we turned to the AR15. She fired 2 mags and I had fired 1. The 4th mag I was going to use on the 70 yard target to see how well the sight did at greater range. Fired the first shot and the reticle disappeared. So confused i started to mess with it and it came back on. Fired the second shot, it turned off again. Finally it quit working properly all together. The brightness settings are 1-7 with no selections in between the numbers. Well 3-6 stopped working. If I wanted to put it on level 5 setting, I had to put it in between 5 and 6. Which isnt a selection to begin with. Only used it twice and only had it for 3 weeks. 162 rounds killed this sight. No rapid fire, no double taps, and carried in a reinforce carring case with memory foam. Each shot fired had atleast 1 second in between each shot (range rules). So call and Had one guy at optics planet told me they wouldnt take it back because I didnt keep the manufacturer packaging, which you have to destroy to get the sight out lol. I contacted a supervisor and that guy was completely wrong. Once I got some...

great buy

Its a very nice reflex sight. It took me 8 rounds to sight it in. After sighting the optic, I flipped up my iron sights and sighted them based off the optic. I mounted my Browning reflex sight on my AR15. I put 100 rounds down range using this sight on day 1, it never drifted. Ive had this style sight (different brand) on a 22 cal HK and it drifted after 40 rounds and had to be re-sighted. Im about to buy another one of these Browning reflex sights to go on my AK47 pistol. You cant beat this price either. You wont find the same quality sight for the same price. I know, I looked.
Pros: easy to use, looks great, can change reticle to 4 different styles
Cons: the only con I can think of is that I didnt buy 2 of them....

You get what you pay for.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, GA Written on November 15, 2012
This is a first generation clone, it is of cheap construction and not suitable for field use. The first time you slam this thing into a tree branch the sight is toast. Reticule is not aligned correctly to the vertical, its off by a couple of degrees. Browning has made a big mistake licensing their good name to this cheap POS.
Pros: light weight multi-reticule
Cons: light-weight construction, poor quality control...

POS sight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, GA Written on April 15, 2012
I made the mistake thinking this sight would fit my Browning Buckmark pistol with acceptable quality. Wrong on both counts. Matched with the Browning Buckmark pistol, the sight is clearly oversized and balance of the pistol turned to garbage. The sight reticule is five fracken' degrees out of vertical. The manufactuer did not provide basic quality control to the product.
Make no mistake, Browning Arms makes some of the finest weapons in the world. I have no doubt that the directors and managers of Browning Arms would either correct the deficiencies in the Browning Buckmark sight or discontinue production if they knew how bad the product is.
I suspect marketing and procurement took over this turkey. Browning Arms has shamed itself with this cheap product unfit for its namesake.
Browning Arms did offer to repair the sight, but I refused to pay the shipping. I have since purchased new sights at similar cost that work with quality construction, low weight and size that better matches the Browning Buckmark pistol. The Browning Arms company did itself no favors by marketing this POS.

Pros: Cheap
Cons: even cheaper quality...
