Good light but the pro is better

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TN Written on May 1, 2011
Great cap light but the night seeker pro is better. The green lights work better for night than the red lights. Not a bad product but for the money go with the pro.
Pros: Adjustable, hands free.
Cons: not bright enough...

Simple Must Have

I use this light mostly for hunting. Perfect hands-free light. It is great when you need just enough light to cap your muzzleloader. The adjustable design that allows you to direct the light toward the ground keeps this cap light a step above the competition. Batteries lasted a long time. I hope the light will always be offered without being bundled with another product and I hope the price will remain around ten bucks. The light is good enough to stand on its own and doesn't need to be bundled with an additional product to make it a great value.
Pros: Adjustable direction of light
Cons: none...

Browning Night Seeker Cap Light 5081

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on February 19, 2010
It's impressively bright. I bought it for the red light, and am somewhat disappointed that I must switch to white light before turning it off, even if it has been on for a while. Ideally I would have preferred all red lights. I bought this for use in the cockpit when flying at night. I can pivot it to read a chart in my lap handsfree.
Pros: impressively bright red light, directional
Cons: must flip to white lights to turn off...

I`ve been hunting elk in Colorado for 18 years straight. Every year I seek out the best cap light and this year I found the BEST yet. This cap light is powerful(all the light you`ll need to walk out of the forest hands free in the dark. And the best thing about it is that it hinges,so the beam can be adjusted where you need it,whether your walking out,or saddling your horse at 5:00 in the morning,or reading a map in your lap,you can adjust the beam right where you need it ! Thanks for the wonderful product opticsplanet not only did I get it in the mail quick but the price was the lowest I could find anywhere ! Dano (:
Pros: Small, powerfull , and adjustable up and down !
Cons: have`nt found one yet ...
