Pros: Feels like an heirloom quality weapon
Cons: none really.
Would recommend: yes

Saw one of these at a store and got to handle it some. It is incredibly well made, and since it is one piece, it can be thrown without much fear of damage. Throwing it point first, rather than blade first, allows there to be a higher chance of something lethal hitting your target. As if the weight of the solid chunk of steel is enough! It is small, but it cuts and slashes with nice balance. It also traps and blocks nicely as well. A great buy, if you need such a personal weapon, and as usual, optics planet had the best price, and service! Thanks folks!

I love this tomahawk. Its small and light which makes it great for hiking/camping.
Awesome, but not the most practical

I'll get to the point, the Tomahawk is absolutely gorgeous and a nice addition to anyone's tactical arsenal. The build quality is superb, with excellent balance and weight in the hand. Don't expect it to be amazingly sharp, but it could easily slice through flesh (I unintentionally cut my finger with it)
Lets be honest though, like most of the "tactical" gear we buy, it isn't the most useful. For hand to hand combat, I would take this over almost any fixed blade, but again, lets be honest; you aren't going to be storming any houses anytime soon. It is too small, and too beautiful to be chopping wood with (though I'm sure it could)
In short, it is an awesome toy with excellent build quality and value for price, but not the most practical.
