Compact unit will take some time to get used to.

This item will work fine for what I want...getting general trends and keeping track of time...don't really need all the other features...Temp? If I use the lanyard and walk through the woods, I will have to keep it tucked into my shirt pocket so it will always read my body heat! I bought it for compass and clock features and they are good. Also, backlight will be handy at night. If your fingers are stubby like mine, you will need to learn how to easily push buttons as there are 4, 2 on each side that are too close together to easily use AND buttons are marked on the face of the dial in very tiny lettering. Not easy for an older person to read function names. It says water resistant, which should be good if I have to use it in the rain. Still overall, I like will do what I bought it for and is inexpensive for a decent digital compass.
Pros: lightweight, small, and inexpensive for the features
Cons: unmarked buttons will take some learning time...
