Original one worked ok for a few months, then quit working altogether. Sent in for repairs..they replaced w/ new one...that didn't work either. Sent back again..given new one. This one worked for 2 hr. then quit. Do yourself a favor and buy a different one. Make sure you read as many reviews that you can on this so called rangefinder!!

Pros: Very good Rangefinder for the Value
Cons: Not sure about battery strength
Would recommend: yes

The unit did not come with a battery so I bought one from a camera supply company. I thought a battery should have been in box, battery was expensive about $10, it lasted about 4 rounds of golf. I do not know if battery was defective or if that is all the use I am going to get out of a battery. I have since bought 8 batteries off Ebay for about $8 including shipping, much better price. Second battery has been used twice and is still working so we shall see. The unit itself is very nice and works very good and is accurate. I am pleased with the product, hoping I just bought a weak battery, still think one should have been in package. Maybe Brunton will send me one after they read this review, if not it is still a good value. Better than paying $300 for similiar.
Good price, but...

Pros: Price
Cons: Short battery life. Have to remove battery if you accidentally hit both buttons
Would recommend: no

Rangefinder does seem to work very well, but if you happen to hit both buttons at the same time (which are very close together), you have to remove the battery and reinstall before the range finder will function again, very annoying. Short battery life. The 3 volt battery is not supplied with the rangefinder, and the new battery I purchased lasted for approximately 200-250 scans. The instructions are well written and easy to follow, and the minimal set up was very easy. Accuracy seems to be right in line with other range finder that I've tested it against. I guess for the price I cannot be too dissapointed, but given the choice after using this rangefinder, I would probably look at purchasing a rangefinder from a different manufacturer.
Great for the money

Cons: function buttons too close together

Great range finder for the money! Only thing I don't like, which is really being nit picky, is that the function buttons are too close together. You can accidentally hit both buttons rendering the device inoperative until you unscrew the battery cap, remove the battery and reset the device. I found it to be with in 2 yards of other range finders, Nikon and Bushnell. But hey, sight in your bow or weapon of choice to this device and no worries.
