This solar panel is very portable and gives you enough juice to power most portable devices. I've used it to charge iPhones, Androids, laptops, portable DVD player, and charge my marine battery. It does sometimes (in full sun, no clouds) give more than 12v of power so I would recommend you get a device that will regulate it down to 12v so you don't fry your electronics. This unit's portability is excellent and even though it is expensive you really get a lot for your money. The only minor drawback is the manual; or really the lack of one. All you get is one page of instructions (one sided). Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a good quality portable source of solar energy.

Pros: Powerful/Quality Construction
Cons: Need Solar Controller
Would recommend: yes

This thing is powerful-62 watts, high voltage. It folds very small (a bit larger and thicker than an ipad) but opens to the size of small sleeping mat. It is built with better quality than other panels I've seen.
If you want one of the most powerful foldables out there, this is the one. It put out 31 Volts (very high) with open circuit on a sunny day.
If you don't mind buying the solar controller to insure you don't damage your 12 volt battery (if that's what you're charging), I'd go with the Solaris62.
If you don't want to deal with the Solar Controller, maybe go with the Solaris26. Or you can fold up some of your 62 panel to reduce the output.
Very satisfied.
I hope the cost of foldables goes down as technology improves. Opticsplanet had the best price with the use of a coupon

Pros: Easy Storage, Easy Setup, Durable
Cons: The included connectors wires were short

I own a Class B RV with limited storage space. I wanted the ability to use solar power to help maintain my coach battery while camping and the Van battery while being stored. I did not want to place a hard framed solar panel on the roof. The Brunton Solaris 62 folds up nice and small for easy storage. Easy hook-up and can be placed any where the sun is shining. Only needed to buy some additional wire to give me more distance. So far working great.

Fits in backpack; outstanding back-up power source; will purchase several more for emergency kits; excellent for base camp and backpacking; indispensable when commercial power drops during natural disaster (like recent earthquake and hurricane).

This panel was absolutely perfect for our needs. It easily charged everything and allowed off the grid performance for several weeks. The device folds and is lightweight enough to bring in at night and is weather resistant too.
