Ok for the price

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on September 21, 2013
This scope is a reasonable value for the money. The glass is clear, but as a previous commenter mentioned, your focus is directly tied to magnification. Its a bit on the large side for a typical .22 rifle but its not prohibitive.

The included rings sit on top of the 10/22 optics mount. This is a little higher than optimum but it works just fine.

Adjustments are easy! no tools required with positive clicks and consistent POI change.

For the price point, with included rings this can be a nice entry level setup.
Pros: Simple, inexpensive & easy to get running
Cons: focus tied to magnification...

I have 3 of these now, 2 are on .22mags and one on a .223 BLR lightning. Nice scope for the money. I like the compact size, and set them up w/ see thru rings on the lever actions, for needed hammer clearance. Recommemded....

Great scope but lacks fine focus

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NY Written on September 3, 2013
PROS: Solidly built and great value for any 22 rifle.
CONS: This scope does not have a separate adjustment for focus so you cannot see fine detail if you try to over-zoom into a target that is too close for the magnification. However if you zoom correctly at the proper recommended distance it is crystal clear.
Pros: Solidly built, great value, quality optics
Cons: No adjustable focus for fine details...

Great scope, poor quality rings

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 23, 2012
This is a great scope for the money! The rings it comes with are cheap / very poor quality. Chuck them in the trash and throw some cheap leupold or weaver rings on it and you're gold! Keeps its zero, works like a champ on my Marlin 60.
Pros: Does everything I want it to!
Cons: Just needs new rings!...

BSA Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on February 13, 2012
This BSA scope really is a joy!!! The quality is certainly BSA standard... I love this little British company because of the old motorcycles they used to make, which still run to this day, so my expectations were very high!! and this scope met them all!
Pros: Heavy Duty and durable, plus cool looking
Cons: none so far...

BSA Rimfire scope S39X32WRCP

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 1, 2011
I bought this for a Ruger 10/22 target model. The Ruger came with what I think is a dual purpose weaver and 3/8 base rail. I already had some spare 1" Weaver mount rings that I knew would work. The helpful folks at Optics planet correctly informed me that the installed rings were easily removable.

So I used my rings and the scope works very well. It was easy to zero and has good optics for an inexpensive scope with variable focal length. The reticle is fine for distances up to 100 yards or so... and I don't see the point in shooting a 22 at longer range.

My weaver rings provide a more substantial mount than the stockers -- it would be nice if they sold a ring free model -- maybe they do and I missed it. ...
