BSA Red/Green Dot

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on August 11, 2013
I purchased this red/green dot optic as a low cost addition to my Ruger 10/22. I mounted very nicely and functions exactly as it should. Very simple to mount and use on either a dovetail or picatinny/weaver style rail.
Pros: Exceptional value

Good for the money

It's a good value if you just want a red dot on top of your firearm. Don't expect the dot to stay still and be repeatable like you are accustom to on a eotech or similar. Totally different technology. ...

Great for my needs!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AL Written on June 5, 2012
I didnt get this one for hunting I actually use them for telescopes as RDF. Metal RDF finders from major brands start from twice the price or more, and most of those are based on regular hunting/shooting red dots scopes. Opticsplanet has the cheapest price for this model I could find, plus there is a free bag :) Ive got 1 weaver riser to attach it to slim weaver plank Ive mounted on my telescopes, so I can move this from one to another. The lowest brightness setting is a little bit bright for astronomy use for some, but works OK for me. Nice solid item.
Pros: price, quality...

BSA Red Dot Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 18, 2010
This seems to be a very well made product for the money. I am pleased with this item and know it would be good on any off my pellet or 22 caliber guns. I think it is strong enough to also work on my 223 caliber rifle.
Pros: Strong and well made.
Cons: The on and off knob is very tight to turn but won't be moved by accident...

BSA Bad Stuff

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, VA Written on August 24, 2010
Bought this Red dot for $38 from local store. Mounted, bore sighted, on AR15. On first use the turet fell right off, parts went flying everywhere. Sent BSA a email, they wanted me to ship to them, pay a repair fee if I didn't have receipt, and pay return shipping. Costing over $40. I have now sold all my BSA products and will not buy anything from this company again.
Pros: Easy to setup & use
Cons: Fell apart on first use cost $40 for manf. to repair, bad product Bad company!...
