Scope and rings are as expected, but sks mount is garbage

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, FL Written on January 29, 2013
Not just a little bit of filing to get sks mount to work. Wheel grinder is what i need. Scope seems to be decent tho
Pros: inexpensive scope, rings
Cons: sks mount...

good value

once sighted, you will blow the center out of every target. I only use it at 50yds max, that's why I bought this model. younger, sharper eyes should have no problem at 100.
Pros: size, ease of adjustment ...

Lead Slinger

Nice scope. Can't go wrong for the money. Sks is dead nutz now.
Pros: sweet little scope for the money.
Cons: turrets seem to come from the unlock position quite easily....

Simple and sturdy

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 7, 2011
Pleasantly surprised at the quality for such a reasonable price. Had to buy another set of rings to get it high enough for a flat top AR15, but once mounted it was a breeze to zero and a joy to shoot.
Pros: Clear glass and easy adjustments
Cons: Supplied rings are too low for a flat top AR15...

AWSOME FOR THE MONEY!!!!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 22, 2011
I'll admit, for the money I was HIGHLY skeptical! After I recieved this scope, we installed it on a HighPoint 995 Carbine. Was VERY pleased with the repeatability of returning to zero after "walking the box" (Shoot once, move 24 clicks Left -fire- 24 clicks Down -fire- 24 clicks Right -fire- 24 clicks up -fire-. Last shot should be where first shot started) I "walked the box" 6 times and allways returned to zero! Awesome! Also, glass quality is WAY better than many other scopes in this price range.
Pros: PRICE
Cons: WISH THEY OFFERED IT WITH ILUM. RETICLE...

Not the best, definitely not the worst.

I bought this simply for the price, as a "beater" scope for my everyday ranch tool. It does the job but longer range accuracy is very questionable as is the zero between shots. Better on a low recoil application like an AR-15 than larger calibers. Like that I can also use the open sights by peering under the mount. Surprisingly good quality on mount system & options.
Pros: Clear optics, great mounting options
Cons: zero ability not particularly consistent...

Great for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 2, 2010
My first BSA scope. I didn't want to spend oodles of money for a "top of the line" scope. This AR scope may not be for use in everyday true tactical situations, but who am I to say that. I am a casual shooter who goes out once a month with my AR to shoot some targets. The performance and all functions of the scope are just plain great for the money.
Pros: very clear and bright
Cons: none...

Need improvement

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on January 4, 2010
The elevation turret had deep scratches on the top. Instrucstions stated that the turrets were removeable to set point of reference of turret to zero. There was no marking on the tube to set reference in the increments on the turret.
Pros: Clean sight picture
Cons: Turrets have no point of reference marks and are not removeable. ...
