I mounted this on a 16" DPMS AP4 .308 in a La Rue mount. This scope could be custom made for this rifle. The drop compensating marks are dead on out to 500 yds. (haven't tried past that) with 147-165 gr. loads. Clarity is on par with Leupold and the illumination works well in low light. Tracks easily and falls on target naturally. For a "battle rifle" or designated marksman setup this is the perfect optic. If your looking for a sniper or long range setup keep looking. As a hunting scope this will easily do the job, but past 4-500 yds or older eyes look for more magnification.
Bad side is the tac knobs are useless in this magnification range and are large. You also can't see the illumination at all in daylight. I had to change the battery after 40ish hours of use and light can be seen from the muzzle side at night.
Pros: ease of adjusment, overall size/weight, magnification range
Cons: Tac. knobs are huge, cant see illumination in daylight, batt. life is low....
