Purchased this scope over year and a half ago for our annual Montana PD hunt. Mounted it on a custom Ruger mini 14 in 204 caliber(1/2"MOA). After imputing factor # for choreographed reloads, B.C. and a 3K' altitude adjustment, sighting in was a pleasure out to 750 yds., via walkie talkies- using the two foot square, white backside of a target board (paper target on other side) and a painted white 12" bonger on a stake- accurate laser readings were easy and 'dead on'! With the adjustable objective and sun shade and using the PD mound or a near by stone to laser off, our longest, confirmed hit was 734 yds. The lighted led obviously covered target but was no problem to hold off to side of seen target and then move dot back onto target for a clean hit off an adjustable Caldwell shooting rest. While not critical shooting off a swivel shooting bench, it would be nice to have a remote, infrared laser switch for ease of ranging when on a bipod. Altogether, this is one outstanding, long-range shooting scope! The only thing missing, besides the switch, would be the ability to 'paint' your target before sending your missile down range. Go get one, you won't be disappointed!
Pros: All-in-one package- accurate distance ranging ( up/downhill), adjustable objective, range at any power setting, easy to R & R spare battery
Cons: Needs remote infrared switch
