Nick of time!

by John, from United States, OK Written on February 23, 2015
I waited more than a month for a Vortex scope to be shipped, and resigned myself to wait another if necessary. Thinking about how happy I was with my last two scopes, both Burris, I went back to the "Optics" menu and found this Veracity scope that met my criteria AND had a First Focal Plane reticle. Very useful info and ease of use of this reticle, along with Burris' reputation made the switch an instant proposition. I have to say I'm over-the-moon happy with the scope's glass and overall quality and will continue to look to Burris for all future scopes (have owned 16 from 6 different mfrs)....

Awesome Glass

by Dogcaller, from United States, CA Written on August 26, 2014
Finally got my new scope mounted! As expected the the clarity is great. I own two other Burris scopes, and really like them. Each purchase I've been able to get a little better model. Have yet to shoot at any distance, but just viewing from porch at 500 yard plus distance it's great. Was going to purchase two because of the sale price, but decided to wait until I get some time behind it first....

Repeatability Test ...

by Ed from Great Falls, MT, from United States, MT Written on August 11, 2014
This is a follow-up to my initial review - WOW! It's better than I expected.

Once zero (or near) is set, I have just shy of +55 MOA of elevation with bedded 20 EGW MOA picatinny rail.

Ammo used: leftover .270 Win handload (150 NBT, 55.5 H4350, WLR, RP brass) before the re-barrel.

Rifle used: .270 AI

I wish I can attached a picture but I did a 12-shot series @ 100 yards in my attempt to test the zero repeatability. Each shot is consist of 2 random elevation adjustments (from zero to X elevation and then back to zero) and + and - windage adjustments (from zero to L then back to zero and from zero to R and then back to zero).

The 12 shot group is just over 1 MOA; not bad considering it's not my accuracy load for this rifle set-up.

In short, I highly recommend this rifle. Here's my review of the scope in another forum >>> http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=979117...

WOW! It's better than I expected

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 30, 2014
I have done a thorough repeatability yet but the initial test was impressive. Burris glass have always excel in the clarity department and this is no exception. For those that like the Vortex PST lines, this is definitely a MUST try/see alternative.
Pros: Has all the features I'm looking for for long range shooting/hunting
Cons: Would have like to have the clicks more audible but not a deal breaker at all....
