I use both my scopes on .204 Ruger caliber varmint rifles, one a Savage Varminter single shot and the other a Ruger 1 single shot. I have a passion for prairie dog shoots, and these combos are sweet! I shoot Hornady V-Max bullets, pushed by Hogden Varget powder, and 1/2 minute of angle (or better) is the norm. You need all the accuracy you can get when shooting at 2" wide targets between 2 andd 4 hundred yards... and throw in a 10-15 mph wind as well. Ya might not get 'em all on the first shot, but if the little guys stay put for follow up shots, as they often do, those mil dots sure do help zero in. I have no knocks on the product whatsoever, but Burris could pack a little more written detail with the scope on how best to utilize the mil dot system. I'm not rich... I'm broke. But I sure have a couple nice scopes!
