Wobbly and heavy

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on January 11, 2014
The mount works, and there isn't much wrong with it. I expected the quick detach feature to be easier to use, and I also thought it was a feature I'd maybe want to use one day. I realized detaching the scope will never happen, and that the added weight of the mount and the BUIS are bad. The little QD tabs wobble around even though I know it is all torqued down. Not a precise mount. I had my AR set up with a small scope in this mount and BUIS at the range and I tried out a friends AR that just had an aimpoint. His setup was much lighter and I thought of the chances of my optic being broken... just get the regular version, not the QD. I'd rate that one 5 stars instead of 3 for the QD.
Pros: Quick disconnect, Does function
Cons: A cheaper standard mount would be better...

Hands down the best scope mount on the market.

Get the quick detach version. Well worth it. Based on my experience with both versions, this one holds more firmly.
Pros: Everything is good.
Cons: None....

Burris AR-PEPR Scope Mount

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on December 29, 2013
Allows a large ocular and appeiture with correct eye relief for carbine scope positioning. Needs about 1" more forward positioning for collapsed carbine entry work. But does provide almost enough so it works but, could use another inch. I have a 50mm appature Vortex 3-9x on a Wilson tactical 7.62x40. It does a fine job. Just a little close on the eye relief.
Pros: Well made for China product. Lap in not required.
Cons: needs a little more forward posistioning. Danger of China manufacturing. Durability unknown....

AR_P.E.P.R. QD Mount

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MO Written on November 16, 2013
I purchased this to mount a Nikon scope to my S&W M&P 15-22. It not only works perfectly, it looks great too. It has the proper rise to allow it to clear the folding rear Magpul sights so that you can leave your iron sights installed. The quick disconnect is adjustable to slightly different sized rails, and can quickly and easily be used to remove whatever sight you have installed so that you can swap to another if desired without using tools. It also seems to hold the scope's settings so that re sighting is not needed. All in all a great product.
Pros: good looking, high quality, QD is a great convenience
Cons: none so far...

Good QD scope mount

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AZ Written on October 28, 2013
I like this mount, especially for the price. You can get something that is better (Larue), but you will pay 2-3x this price. The quick detach is ok. It's a bit difficult to activate the levers due to their size and the odd sliding button to release them. However, for the price, I doubt there is better. I'm also not 100% sure if it will hold zero if detached.
Pros: price, quick detach
Cons: Detach is not very smooth...
