The reason it didn't work for me was that the rings are not adjustable and were to far apart to mate up with my Nikon compact scope. This mount system was designed to work with longer 1" tube. Suggestion: it would have been very helpful if the distance between the rings was provided in the item specifications.

But, the mount can be snugged on pretty good by tightening the nobs, however levers still loose. All in all a good optic mount for AR, gives good eye relief and seems to hold zero when removed and put back on.

Exactly what I needed at time of order, but not able to use on another tactical scope because of fixed mounts. Not a product or design issue, just a fact that you cannot use on all scopes due to muount position.
