QD model is adjustable! Not bad for the money

by FD, from United States, KS Written on March 25, 2015
After going through various reviews, I had trouble determining if the QD model was adjustable for tightness to the picatinny rail. All of the pictures showed the levers but didn't show the other side which had the adjustments.

There were some other (mistaken) reviews where the buyer didn't know they were adjustable and cried about them being too loose. The mount came with directions that they must have neglected to read.

This mount is, in fact, adjustable. The QD levers can also be turned 180 degrees to lock to the back instead of the front. When fully opened, the levers stick straight out (90 degrees) versus 180 degrees like the American Defense Mounts. The QD levers are adjustable on essentially 8 points through a full rotation. Each has a small divot where a metal piece falls into. The adjustments aren't quite as fine as an ADM mount but it is much cheaper. The levers take and extra push for the locking mechanism to click into place.

I haven't had a chance to shoot this mount and check the zero after remounting, but I am happy for the $ and it's convenience so far. I have read several reviews that the return-to-zero is acceptable so I wasn't particularly worried. The most important factor was the adjustability of the mount....
Pros:
  • Price
  • QD levers and adjustability
  • plain top or picatinny option included
Cons:
  • weight - nothing special but the extra build makes it average
Best Used for:
  • scopes that live on multiple rifles
  • quick removal in case of failure

Easy to install and align. Used scope leveling and alignment kit to check it, aligned up perfectly. Holds a micro red dot on top with rail rings just right. Easy to disconnect and put back-up or other sights on and returns to zero, every time....
Pros:
  • Awesome website & product
Cons:
  • None

  • Target/range, hunting

Solid mount

by Glenn, from United States, HI Written on March 17, 2015
Really rock solid mount that still holds zero when removed and remounted. Had it fall off the back of a truck mounted to my AR and held zero just fine. Zoom is smooth and ever more awesome when paired with a throw lever. It's heavy but can't go wrong with the price....

Burris PEPR QD scope mount

by grooves, from United States, KS Written on March 16, 2015
This mount works great. Rock solid and detachable. I was glad that it included smooth top rings as well as rail top rings. Six screws per ring make for sure that your scope is secure. Might have to get another one for another rifle....

Great Rings, great price. Burris make great products. I was looking for a mount that allowed me to mount a light or or red dot on top of the scope. These are tough rings that mount very easy to my AR....

AR-PEPR Mount

by Papa, from United States, NV Written on March 6, 2015
Used hard mounted scope rings to mount scopes in the past. Looked at La Rue quick release mounts, but were more expensive than Burris. After trying Burris AR-PEPR Tactical mount, wouldn't think twice of ordering a La Rue. I now have been replacing all scope rings with Pepr mount, great value for the money....

PEPR Sight perfect for NIkon P223 and AR Flat Top

by JBHiker, from United States, CA Written on March 4, 2015
I wanted a sight that is one piece so I can remove and replace scopes on my AR-15 Flattop. But this one is so nice I decided to leave it and put on a 45 degree picatinny rail for my red dot and my iron sights. Now I can shoot competition where shots are required close and far away. It is really fun having versatility on my rifle. These PEPR Sights are very sturdy and accurate. They come with a split ring set where one set is picatinny and the other is smooth on top....
Pros:
  • Sturdy, heavy duty rail, attractive, easy to install, scope stop

Burris PEPR mount

by Danny, from United States, CA Written on March 2, 2015
I had Burris scope rings on my previous 1-4 power scope mounted on an AR platform.
I purchased a new scope and got the Burris QD PEPR mount and am very pleased with it quality and ease of use. It goes on great and holds strong to my rail. after sighting in the new scope I removed the scope and mount, reinstalled the scope and mount and my zero did not change a bit. I like that the PEPR mount came with 2 flat top mounts along with the top mounts that have a rail type attachment....
