Burris AR-PERP

by smorgan345, from United States, GA Written on August 26, 2014
I've had both the standard and the quick detach version of this. Needed it so I could put a Fastfire on top of my scope. I'm not a big fan of their quick detach system but then again I don't care for quick detach systems in general. I prefer being able to torque the bolts down to a known torque setting and be done. Not a lot of switching out optics for me. My only complaint would be weight. It would be nice if they could come out with a light version, maybe just 8 ring screws instead of 12 and thin the mount out a little bit? Other than that it gets the job done for a good price....

pepr scope base

by UTCowboy, from United States, UT Written on August 26, 2014
I love this scope base. Easy mount and looks great. Very solid feel and look. I would definately recommend this for anyone looking to add an optic on their ar platform. I really liked that it comes with both the rail and smooth round top pieces....

For the money

by bjd1020, from United States, NC Written on August 13, 2014
A little on the heavy side, but with the mail in rebate it was a no brainer. The quick release mechanism is sturdy and functional. I used it in conjunction with a weaver tactical scope and trijicon RMR....
Pros:
  • economical
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • AR Platform

Great Product - Great Price

by FischEng, from United States, MS Written on August 2, 2014
If you don't mind a little extra heft, this is a great buy. I've used mine on a 6.8 SPC and it reliably returns to zero (+/- 0.5moa) every time. I'd give it 5 stars if Burris offered a model without the extra picatinny rails on top of the rings....

Good tactical mount for the money

by MagMaster, from United States, OH Written on August 1, 2014
Good tight fit to my AR... Easy to adjust to fit rail as needed and seems to fit tight to scope. I would recommend this mount and rings to anyone who would like a good quick detach at a reasonable price....

Burris AR-PEPR Tactical Riflescope

by ncd, from United States, TX Written on July 30, 2014
Very solid mount and very easy to use. There are 1" and 30mm models available to choose from. Burris website has a rebate program for this type of mount. If they could include a Loctite's "Thread-locker" that would be cool....

Great scope mount for Burris 1-4 TAC 30 scope

by Tom, from United States, NY Written on July 30, 2014
I bought this mount to put a Burris TAC 30 scope on my AR-15. It is solid, has not loosened up from use, and moves the sight forward enough to accommodate eye relief when using an AR either standing, kneeling, or prone....

Recoil Sensative

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 14, 2014
This mount came in with a bunch of other products from Optics Planet and after my first impressions, I was pleased with my purchase. This was to be used with my Bushnaster "Ar 10" build and primary purpose was to go hog hunting in Texas. For this I wanted to be able to easily remove the scope for closer shots, or for long range I could attach my Nikon 3.5-14 for max range of my shooting ability at 300 yards. The reason I was so attracted to this mount was because it has plenty of screws to keep the scope firm in the mount while it was in my pack. Another reason was the rail on top of the mount which could be used with my night vision illuminator (The main reason for my effective range). I was planing on bringing this to my up coming hunt so I took it to a local range and test fired it only to find that the levers were not able to withstand the recoil of a 308 ar (which isn't much to say the least). I feel that the mount would be effective on a 223 and thought about moving it to do so except for the horrible off center of the mount. Why is this important if I might have been off by a little I wouldn't mind so much, but when shooting at 25 yards it was 4 inches left and 4 inches low. When I brought the target back I had almost forgot which target I was shooting at as it was landing so far off. My unit might have been defective but when this kind of quality control is overlooked on so many levels, I have to throw up a red flag.
Pros: Plenty of screws, Cheap
Cons: Levers are loo...

nice scope mount

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 10, 2014
scope holds 'zero' really well, even with the quick disconnects. Mounting the scope in the scope mount is a bit of a hassle with the provided torque bit tool is a little small to work with. The quick disconnect seems to make it a bit pricey, but overall a good deal
Pros: quick detach and seems to hold zero well
Cons: a little pricey...
