Solid but I don't like made in China

by Jon, from United States, TX Written on February 20, 2015
Had I known this was made in China, I'd have passed on it. That said, it is indeed solid.

I understand Burris keeping costs down by outsourcing but think they should be upfront about where there products are made. Next time, I'll stick with Leupold....

Thought This Might Happen!

by R-BOLT, from United States, KS Written on February 18, 2015
I thought the quick detach might give me some problems with scope movement. But wanted to give it a try as I might need to shoot with or without a scope mounted. I sighted in a new Ruger SR762 rifle with these scope mounts. Rifle sighted in pretty good with a few fliers. At first I thought is was the ammo, the rest, or myself. Did run about a hundred rounds thru that range session. When a got home, found fore and aft movement in the scope mount. Tighten up the mount, just hoping it stays put. Gave it 3 stars instead of 1, in case I did not have it tight to begin with. If it stays tight would go five stars, if not, will not purchase another....

Well made but heavy!

by CHOMMMM, from United States, TX Written on February 14, 2015
Bought this to mount a weaver kaspa 1.5-6 on an AR. Its a very quality piece typical of Burris, comes with both the railed and smooth top straps. It is pretty heavy though, I would only use this for a harder recoiling rifle in hindsight as its really thicker and heavier than it needs to be for an AR....
Pros:
  • Fit and finish.
  • price/performance
Cons:
  • weight
Best Used for:
  • Heavy Recoil Rifles

This mount does it's job.

by t3hSober1, from United States, OK Written on February 12, 2015
I really like this mount, my only complaint is that the QD levers feel very unsatisfying. There is no distinct click or solid feeling when the levers go into position, it is more of a mushy feeling. I am happy that it comes with extra smooth rings....
Pros:
  • Looks great
  • Feels well made
  • Comes with smooth rings
Cons:
  • Heavy
  • QD levers are mushy feeling
Best Used for:
  • AR15
  • low power scope

Great Mount for the Price!

by CHRYPOPR, from United States, IL Written on February 9, 2015
I found the Burris REPR Ring Mount Easy to install It has been a set it and forget mount for my primary AR.
After 500 rounds no movement and allowed for the correct vertical lift to use without a riser!
This is a great option for a mount sub 300$, most I've seen don't lock this nice or adjust....
Pros:
  • ease of use and install
Cons:
  • none... yet

3 purchase for 5.56 thru .309 WSM

by Dzaver, from United States, ND Written on January 31, 2015
This is the third such mount that I have purchased. I have them mounted on an AR platform for 3-gun, a M14 EBR, and a Rem 700 custom scout rifle in .300 WSM. They have all performed flawlessly. Great product, holds zero, low weight, fair price. Thanks optics planet!...

Burris PEPR mount

by Stuart, from United States, FL Written on January 29, 2015
Great mount, solidly built. This is probably the most popular response if you search "AR scope mount," and for good reason. It does exactly what it's supposed to and it doesn't cost nearly as much as some of the others out there. I'm glad it comes with plain top rings as well as picatinny since I'll never end up using the picatinny ones....
Best Used for:
  • AR15

burris ar scope mount

by rosco15, from United States, OH Written on January 29, 2015
This is a super high quality scope mount. It helps move me leupold scope forward enough to be well clear of the charging handle on my AR10 308 build. I have at least 3" eye relief with this mount. The mount came with and without picatiny rails for the top. Great mount at a fair price....

Awesome mount

by Tee, from United States, CO Written on January 29, 2015
I bought this mount for my AR and CMR scope. The perfect compliment. It took no time to install the scope on the mount and I quickly determined this was a heavy duty mount with pica tinny rails for a BUIS. Very cool....
Pros:
  • Sturdy, heavy duty rail, attractive, easy to install, scope stop
Cons:
  • None.
