Red dot sight

by Danny, from United States, FL Written on July 30, 2014
I have it in a P223 scope for my Beretta ARX 100 and the FastFire III fits perfect and was easy to mount and use it . Look awesome on that scope and work perfect at 50 yards . I will recommend it , the dot is perfect size and is easy to see it with both eyes open...

Burris Fastfire III

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, SC Written on June 29, 2014
Purchased based on price and limited positive comments for my M&P 9 C.O.R.E. that I carry concealed. Mounted easily using #5 mount plate that came with pistol. Zeroed easily. 8 MOA dot worked well in auto mode. Sight turns off after several hours. Can not find this feature mentioned in description. Perhaps this is a malfunction? Obviously unacceptable for a defensive handgun. I can recommend it for general range or hunting use.
Pros: Price and range or hunting
Cons: not for defensive weapon...

Great cheap red dot

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on June 17, 2014
This is a great small reflex sight for the price point. I have get to find the right mount for the use I bought it for, but have shot with it and been quite impressed with how well built it is for such an affordable red dot.
Pros: Small, light, fits on handgun
Cons: Burris fails to make a good glock mount ...

Used as a co-witness sight on a Yugo under folding AK-47. Mounted on an Ulti-mak gas tube, the iron sights and fast fire III line up well.
Pros: Easy set up

The Elevation screw locks at times making it hard to adjust, When shooting the windage floats, pattern goes left, right and back etc. I have contacted optics planet to see what can be done.
Pros: Small light weight, good optics and dot easy to use
Cons: Elevation dial locks up at times, shooting windage floats...

A little disappointed

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 18, 2014
I received my FF3 and was excited till I took it out of the box and turned it on. I immediately found the red dot was getting distorted by what seems to be a blob of glue or an air bubble between the the class lenses. I have to return it unfortunately.
Pros: small, well made, decent price
Cons: seems no QC done...

Quality sight at a reasonable price

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on January 18, 2014
I purchased this red dot sight for my Mossberg Maverick HS12. It was easy to install and is easy to use. So far it has coped with the recoil without any adverse affects. It took me a little while to adjust focusing on the red dot and not the target, so my target acquisition wasn't great to start with, but with practice it is proving to be a great acquisition and perfect for a shotgun. The mount is robust and overall it looks cool, which is always a bonus. Just remember to buy plenty of batteries, as I seem to chew through them pretty quick.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: None so far...

Broke after a couple months

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 20, 2013
I had this mounted on my AR-15 for a couple months and it performed well as a close range optic alternative to my Burris TAC30, but when I mounted it to my S&W M&P Pro Series CORE it broke after 30 shots. Not to mention that the dot would wander after each shot. Not very useable especially for a sight Burris advertises as being able to handle shotgun recoil.
Pros: Features of higher end micro red dots
Cons: Durability...
