Burris FastFire III Red Dot Reflex Sight

by Steve, from United States, FL Written on January 24, 2015
Absolutely AWESOME! It's even better than I expected it to be. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are mounting it on a picatinney rail for a rifle you need to order the Burris AR-F3 AR Tactical Flat Top FastFire II & III Mount with it if you want to have co-witness with your iron sites. No complaints and highly recommend this product and Optics Planet is the place to go when buying accessories for your weapons!...

Not woth your money AT ALL!

by Richard Lee, from United States, CA Written on January 18, 2015
Ok, before i start, the only reason I gave Burris Fastfire III one star is because it does stay zeroed for that one day of shooting. And the sunshade does help in bright light conditions. Other than those two things I mentioned, the Burris Fastfire III is horrible.
I dont really know where to start so I'm just goin to list in a random order. 1.Sunburst/starburst effect on red dot is very bad. 2. The slots on elevation and windage screws are very tiny.. Need to have one of those cheap mini screwdrivers with u. My pocket knife ended up scratching the heck out of finish. 3. Sight goes off zero from packaging and transporting to and from range, so I need to zero everytime I want to shoot. The elevation and windage screws not not click and stay in position. They will move if something brushes up against it. 4.And the big deal breaker is that Burris' Customer Service and Tech Support are HORRIBLE!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of someone on the phone. It took 2 voice messages and an email for them to get back to me... After 5 days. Their response to the delay was understaffing due to holidays.. So i called them back after the holidays. Guess what? IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on phone. I waited over 20 minutes on three different calls. I wish I could get a refund....

Fast Fire III

by JimS, from United States, CO Written on January 16, 2015
I found this to have one of the nicest sets of features for an economical red dot. Three magnitudes of brightness the user controls with a tap of a button, set on lowest, dot can be seen at night in darkness. Easy to zero with included tools. Nice protective cover can shoot with in place.
The Picatinny Mount accessory included didn't fit my Buckmark's Picatinny rail. Kindly, Burris customer service rep pointed out, mine was not a true Picatinny … recommended that I grind either the rail (yikes!) or the attach/indexing pin supplied. With a bit of grinding to the pin, wha-la…excellent secure fit. Attaches to Buckmark rail without any damage to my gun. Nice....

My Brown Gun Makes Your Black Gun Pee Itself

by ZZZILLA, from United States, TX Written on November 28, 2014
Bought this red dot for plinking and close range fun for my restored M1 Garand. Im left handed so I went with a 3-12x Burris handgun scope on a Ultimak Picatinny foreward rail. The red dot sets on top of the scope using Burris extreme low rings with the half picatinny ring for the red dot. Its my left handed dream gun. This is a scout gun that can reach out and touch its target, short or extreme long range....

Small, Light, and Accurate

by Woodruff Hunter, from United States, WI Written on September 30, 2014
I have the Fastfire III mounted on top of my magnified optic on a 300 BLK pistol. At 50 yards it will shoot 1+" groups and at 25 yards groups the size of a nickel, 5 shots into 1 big ragged hole. These groups surprised me considering they are being aimed with 55 year old farsighted eyes without glasses. I'm very happy....

Well made, well priced

by Flincher, from United States, PA Written on September 20, 2014
A nice, compact reflex sight which mounts nicely on my target pistol. (Volquartsen Scorpion.)
Product feels solid, as if milled from a single block of metal. Dot is easily viewed and suitably
bright for the shooting conditions I've worked under. Good resolution on the dot particularly nice
for longer range bulls eye type shooting (ie 100 yards) Only negative,
I found the on/off switch difficult to activate with my bare thumb or index finger. Had to press
it with my fingernail. Good quality for the money....
