I find the red dot very accurate and easy to install and priced right. light weight fit on to my M&P is great. this is the third one I purchase to use on my 44 and 357 mag revoler and 9 mm semi auto. I've had them for about one year without any problems....

Burris FastFire III Red Dot Reflex Sight

by Joe, from United States, IA Written on December 21, 2014
Great product, bought it for 3-gun matches, 8 moa dot works great on those 10 to 40 yard shots. Couldn't be happier. Did a lot of on line reviews before deciding on the product. There ws only one place to start shopping was Optics Planet. Best price and fast delivery. Thank you....

My Brown Gun Makes Your Black Gun Pee Itself

by ZZZILLA, from United States, TX Written on November 28, 2014
Bought this red dot for plinking and close range fun for my restored M1 Garand. Im left handed so I went with a 3-12x Burris handgun scope on a Ultimak Picatinny foreward rail. The red dot sets on top of the scope using Burris extreme low rings with the half picatinny ring for the red dot. Its my left handed dream gun. This is a scout gun that can reach out and touch its target, short or extreme long range....

Small, Light, and Accurate

by Woodruff Hunter, from United States, WI Written on September 30, 2014
I have the Fastfire III mounted on top of my magnified optic on a 300 BLK pistol. At 50 yards it will shoot 1+" groups and at 25 yards groups the size of a nickel, 5 shots into 1 big ragged hole. These groups surprised me considering they are being aimed with 55 year old farsighted eyes without glasses. I'm very happy....

Well made, well priced

by Flincher, from United States, PA Written on September 20, 2014
A nice, compact reflex sight which mounts nicely on my target pistol. (Volquartsen Scorpion.)
Product feels solid, as if milled from a single block of metal. Dot is easily viewed and suitably
bright for the shooting conditions I've worked under. Good resolution on the dot particularly nice
for longer range bulls eye type shooting (ie 100 yards) Only negative,
I found the on/off switch difficult to activate with my bare thumb or index finger. Had to press
it with my fingernail. Good quality for the money....

Burris Fastfire III with no mount

by boisem, from United States, FL Written on September 5, 2014
The Burris Fastfire III is mounted on my Kimber Stainless Gold Match II useing Buriss mounting plate # 410323. The mounting was a perfect fit. Took the gun to the range and ran a 100 rounds of 230gr fmj and sight held it's zero at 50 yards. I was plannig on buying a leupold Deltapoint II, Leupold keeps pushing the release date further back and I did not get any respond from Leupold on the release date so I went ahead and bought the Burris Fastfire III and I am very glad I did I saved over half the price. I will be buying a second Burris Fastfire III from Opticsplanet to mount on my Ruger Mark III Hunter. Thank you Opticsplanet for the fast shipping....

I like the improvements

by Dannyglassman, from United States, MI Written on August 30, 2014
I bought one of these about three years ago and mounted it on my 5.7x28 FN pistol. It worked well but was difficult to change battery and the dot was larger than I preferred. This unit has the battery compartment on top and has a 3 moa dot. I don't know if the lens coatings have been changed but I find it easier to acquire the dot....

I have it in a P223 scope for my Beretta ARX 100 and the FastFire III fits perfect and was easy to mount and use it . Look awesome on that scope and work perfect at 50 yards . I will recommend it , the dot is perfect size and is easy to see it with both eyes open...

Burris Fastfire III

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, SC Written on June 29, 2014
Purchased based on price and limited positive comments for my M&P 9 C.O.R.E. that I carry concealed. Mounted easily using #5 mount plate that came with pistol. Zeroed easily. 8 MOA dot worked well in auto mode. Sight turns off after several hours. Can not find this feature mentioned in description. Perhaps this is a malfunction? Obviously unacceptable for a defensive handgun. I can recommend it for general range or hunting use.
Pros: Price and range or hunting
Cons: not for defensive weapon...
