All it needs is side focus

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on April 22, 2011
If it weren't for the lack of side focus I'd say this was easily the best scope for under $600. I like the clarity of the glass and the solid feel of the whole thing. I don't like that isn't front focus and not side focus. Front focus means you have trouble rotating bell while a BC flip cap is installed and open. It also makes it a reach when you're shooting prone. All in all I'd buy it again.
Pros: Great glass for the money, good light transmission, Solidly built
Cons: No illumination or side focus...

Good for the money

The Burris Fullfeild TAC 30 4.5X14 is my first quality rifle scope on my first high power rifle, a Rem 700 .308 VTR. I mounted it with a picatinny one piece rail and low TPS TSR rings and had plenty of clearance with the 42mm obj. I wanted a TAC 30mm scope but did not want to spend $1000. I am pleased. The scope is very clear and does not need a spotting scope. I sacrificed on the side paralax adjustment, but this one has the adjustment on the front on the scope. I zeroed the scope at 100 yards but have not messed with the adjustments yet. For my use this was a good buy.
Pros: versitility of magnification
Cons: no side focus...
