Pros: Resulting mount is low and snug
Cons: Dovetail key is a bit of a tight fit
Would recommend: no

The rear sight dovetail on my Ruger MkII stainless target model is the
same width side to side; the mount key that fits into the dovetail is
not. The wide end of the mount key was a little wide, and I had to
drive it in with a punch, but not nearly enough hard enough to distort
the screw holes as another reviewer mentioned. It swedged a bit on
the wide end, but on the other hand, it will stay put and I probably
won't have to rezero after battery changes. With the mount key
carefully centered, the whole mount snugged down nicely.

Pros: No modification to gun necessary
Cons: Metal very soft
Would recommend: yes
Tunnel Rat wrote:
The XD mount requires replacing the XD rear sight with a Burris screw plate. The plate is so soft it will completely deform before it is in place. You MUST insert the screws into the plate before driving the plate into the XD rear sight slot. Otherwise the screw holes will crush completely and the mount will be worthless. Once in place, the plate will stay put since it is swaged into the slot.

the mounting plate attachment to glock pistols must be carefully filed down to fit in sight mount. the mounting plate itself does not fit on glock 10mm or 45 recievers, only 40 cal. and 9mm glock recievers. you are stuck with a reddot sight that you cannot use! pisspoor manufacturing job all around, thanks for nothing burris!

Pros: large enough to offer good protection. Solid - all metal. Good thumbscrew for rail mount.. Solid Mount !!
Cons: Fastfire mount screws are to short.
Would recommend: yes
Skydeamon1 wrote:
This mount has met all my expectations. I have it mounted on an Uzi mod A that I sling up and carry over my shoulder everywhere on the ranges and through the brush. There are now several scratches on the mount but none on the fastfire scope itself. The mount design even helps protect the on/off switch of the fastfire.
I rated the "Ease Of Set Up" low because the screws supplied with the mount are to short to mount the fastfire to the mount. They are 6x48 oval head screws and are hard to find. I contacted Burris and they sent me 2 standard scope mount screws which are not very useful in this application. I ended up ordering a 10 pack of screws from Midway USA.
Overall I am pleased and would recommend.
