Excellent product. The Burris Fastfire with this mount give you a small, light, high quality set up that get's your dot low and as close to the bore axis as possible. It's easy to remove the rear sight and install this mount. You do need to be sure you install the mount "level" as it's possible to install it at a slight angle. The main drawback to the Burris system is having to remove the sight/mount in order to put in new batteries but thankfully that's not very often!

This mounting plate does NOT fit a Weaver mount. The mounting plate tightening screw is too thick and it hits the bottom of Weaver mount groove. This in turn prevents the mounting plate bottom from making full contact with the Weaver mount top. So the mount rocks front to back. Tightening the mounting plate screw will only result in a friction fit, since mounting plate and Weaver mount do not mate. Also, the thick screw causes the mounting plate to rock sideways, as exact mating of mounting plate rails with Weaver mount sides is impeded by the the thick screw. Again, tightening the mounting plate screw will force a friction fit. The mounting plate screw would have to be filed down at the risk of damaging the mounting plate rails. This is very disappointing since the FastFire 2 red dot is superb - but what good is it if I can not mount it reliably? I do not intend to file down the grooves in all my Weaver mounts to accommodate for this mounting plate.
