Burris mount for fastfire 3 red dot sight

by Leadslinger, from United States, IN Written on January 20, 2015
Very easy to install solid mount . Fit perfectly on my kimber custom II. Use a sight removal tool on the original rear sight as the kimber sight is exceptionally difficult (impossible) to remove with a punch & hammer....

Did exactly what I needed

by Mike Coleman, from United States, AR Written on January 12, 2015
I wanted to add reflective sights to my Glock 45's and this did the trick perfectly. I had to buy a punch to remove the original sight, but works great. I do not care for the normal sights that come on any guns, I like having the reflective light. I bough 2 Burris Fast Fire III's to put on my Glocks and this was the appropriate mounting kit to put them on. I am happy with it. Seems very sturdy....

  • easy to use.

Poor Design

by bob, from United States, FL Written on December 23, 2014
This mount is fragile and of poor design. The instructions say torque to 12 in/lbs. First you have to get it screwed up snug before you can torque the screws. They strip out before you get them snug. I will just go back to my Mako mount....

Burris mount for Fast fire III

Product required some work on it before it could be mounted was slightly oversized. The screws within provided by the product were to short along with having the wrong type head for a tapered hole for mounting....

Semi auto pistol sight mount.

by KayJay, from Australia, SOUTH AUSTRALIA Written on December 6, 2014
I fitted the Burris Mounting Plates to my S&W M&P 9mm and could not be happier with the result.
They are extremely easy to fit and to use and have improved my scores tremendously. The Burris Fast Fire 111
Red Dot clips on in no time and makes it much easier to focus on the target, which was becoming a problem as I get older.. Thanks again for your service and help and I would recommend the system to all shooters....

Bullseye Shooter

by Flash, from United States, WA Written on October 7, 2014
Needed a way to mount a Burris FastFire II atop a stripped High-Standard M106 Citation barrel. I got a H-S factory scope mount rail from Brownell's, mounted it on the drilled and tapped barrel. Mounted the FastFire on the new mounting plate from Optics Planet. It went onto the plate like a dream, exactly like the instructions outlined. Once on the plate, the FastFire assembly mounted to the rail like it was made for it (which it was!). Solid, secure, compact, the assembly shoots so well that I'm shooting personal bests each outing, and I'm already a High Master-class shooter. SO much better than iron sights for this old pistoleer....

Burris Fastfire111 mounting plate for Beretta 92FS

by dirty copper, from United States, FL Written on August 29, 2014
Well made plate, fit as described for my model gun. Only suggestion would be to increase the height of the piece that fits into the dovetail for a tighter fit before tightening of the plate. Like the hex head on the screws, which helps prevent damage to the head....

Worked perfectly to mount the Fastfire III on a Weaver mount.

by ron, from United States, AZ Written on August 26, 2014
This mount worked perfectly to attach my Burris Fastfire III to a Weaver mount to attach the red dot sight to my muzzleloader. No issues at all and is solid and stable through a dozen or so 50 cal shots....
Best Used for:
  • Hunting on a muzzleloader or shotgun

Requires shim to secure to Glock slide

by Dutch, from United States, FL Written on August 5, 2014
I found the mount easy to slide into the rear Glock sight mount; perhaps too easy. Once installed according to the instructions there is a gap between the mount and the slide that lets the sight flip/bounce. I had to find a shim to reduce the movement. While there are ways to secure the mount to the slide with and without slide modifications I recommend Burris include whatever is required in the kit or stipulate what might be necessary to make the mount fit for differences in Glock slides by model....
