My Marlin XS7 in 308 WIN had an issue from the Factory, 0.050" gap under the rear end of the scope rail. That is almost 9 MOA UP on a 0 MOA rail. I went with a Weaver 20 MOA rail and these shims to get my SWFA 10X42 MRAD to center. I am very pleased with the results. I will get more for each gun I add to my collection....

Pros: great to have around
Cons: none...

These shims are much easier to use than hand cutting pieces of plastic with your scissors. No turned edges and all the same size. They are plastic, so they can be damaged when installed. So be sure where their edges are before you tighten base clamps
Pros: Provides consistent spacing and sizing
Cons: Static can make them stick together...
