Good solution to alignment issue on rifles

by Chris, from United States, SC Written on December 2, 2014
Works just as described. Fit to a rifle with a miniscule alignment issue from the bases on the barrel. This will correct the issue. Different size inserts allow for adjustments to be made to alignment can be corrected....
Pros:
  • corrects alignment
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • alignment issues

burris pos-align offset inserts

by Big Ed, from United States, MS Written on September 25, 2014
in recent years i have really come to use burris signature rings whenever possible for whatever setup i'm scoping. i like to shoot my .22lr sometimes past 50 yards and with the addition of the .020" insert under the rear ring i can do that without the chance of running out of internal adjustment in my scopes. i give these inserts a big thumbs up!! they also keep the rings from marring your scope tube....
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • alot cheaper than a 20 moa base
  • i dig the burris signature rings
Cons:
  • None.
Best Used for:
  • use these instead of running the internal adjustment too far

great concept

by fred, from United States, ME Written on August 29, 2014
I haven't used the offsets yet, but think the concept is great and will undoubetedly use them in the future to increase my scope options. The inserts are known to hold a scope very securely without marring the scope tube and to allow adjusting elevation and windage beyond the adjustments inherent in the scope....

Signature Offset Inserts

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MI Written on March 30, 2014
Great buy I used them to boresight my rifle just using the inserts and didn't have to use any windage or elevation adjustments...now I can fine tune at range and ensures I get both best clarity out of my scope and able to get most out of scope adjustments when needed
Pros: Allow POI adjustment without using scope windage/elevation adjustments
Cons: Wouldn't mind a few more inserts...

Accomplished its purpose

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, LA Written on August 29, 2013
The product enabled a non-target scope to reach 600 yards on a non-target rifle. I have not fired it enough at this point to determine how durable the system is but so far things are encouraging. The steel rings will not mount flush together with the inserts installed and it will be noted that the scope has a 1 inch tube. It may have been designed to function that way, but when tightening down the hex head fasteners on the rings a balance must be maintained between both side of the rings ensuring that the gap is equal on both sides. To me that solution does not look correct at all but I made it work. The product is an excellent solution for my application and I recommend it. The instructions are easy to follow. I had no access to an inch-pound torque wrench so I best-guessed it and that worked for me. The product is reasonably priced.
Pros: Enabled a non-match rifle to reach 600 yards for mid-range competition.
Cons: The inserts do not allow the steel rings to fasten flush together....

Greatest thing since sliced bread!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on July 27, 2013
I haven't used any scope ring since discovering Burris Signature rings several years ago. They remove all torqued and side load from your scope tube. This product is the only easy way to fix the issue of running out of scope adjustment.
Pros: Easy, affordable and worth every penny...

Burris 1 Inch Signature Pos-Align Offset Insert Kit w/ .005In, .010, and .020In

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 25, 2013
They do what they are supposed to. Provide a very strong, non marring grip on the scope tube. The signature z rings and inserts are the way to go.
The process for submitting this review assures that I won't do another one.PIA
Pros: Helps keep the scope zeroed near the center of the adjustment range
Cons: A little frustrating taking the rings on and off trying to find the right combo...

fix my problem

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 20, 2013
My savage 110e scope mounts were not centered, causing my scope to be at an angle, and there was not enough windage or elevation adjustment to zero the scope. Using these eccentric inserts, I was able to mount my scope and zero it with little adjustment. Solved a huge problem for me.
Pros: worked
Cons: none...
