This speedbead is pretty cool, but it took some minor gunsmithing to get the stock to sit flush with the reciever when I mounted it. It has little prongs around the mount that prevent the part of the stock that goes inside of the reciever from actually going inside of the reciever. I took a dremel and scored out little recesses in the part of of the stock where they lined up. After doing this the stock sat flush with no visible signs of modification from the outside. I am happy with the way it turned out, and I am a perfectionist. I mounted it on my 11-87 super-mag with a synthetic stock. Maybe on a wood stock those prongs would just dig into the wood, but I doubt it. If you are not comfortable making these kinds of modifications, and you want it to look good, I would not purchase this. Unless you can get somebody else to do it for you.
Pros: faster target aquisition, forgiving
Cons: not very bright, not easy to mount
