I was very pleased with the light weight and quality of the Bushnell 10x42 Fusion 1600 ARC Laser Rangefinder Binocular! The Rangefinde/BINOS were compact and the optics quality was very good! Based on all of the above positive mentioned items, I felt that the price was reasonable. To note, it takes one Lithium battery, which is the same size as a surefire Lithium battery (A123). Since it is a Lithium battery, the total life time for that type of battery is normally less than a normal battery. Recommend carrying a couple of extra Lithium batterys, if you are out in the field for a extended period of time and you utilize your Rangefinder a lot. Also recommend a special carrying case, like the one that surefire makes for their Lithium batterys, since there are safety issues with Lithium batterys. One other item to note is the intensity level for the red led display for the Rangefinder. If you have the intensity level is to high, combined with bright sunlight, you will not be able to see ...

Pros:  Rangfinder works fine, easy to set up
Cons:  Incredibly bad optics
Would recommend:  no

Although Leica Geovid and Zeiss Victory RF cost 2-3 times more, there's no way I would recommend this Bushnell model. The image is dark, with a blue-green color tone. And the sharpness and contrast is also very bad. After testing three Fusion 1600s, I simply had to send them back to the distributor. I simply can't recommend it to my customers. So until someone comes up with a rangefinder model with optics that matches the price, don't bother. We run a reputational online store in Europe and we simply can't understand you guys giving it top ratings. Have you seen through real binoculars? Compare it to, lets say a Nikon Monarch 10x42 to half the price. Beats the Fusion 1600 any time. That's how bad it is.

You can buy a more expense range finder binoculars or you can save a lot of money and enjoy the fusion 1600 for less. We went to Yellowstone NP and watched Grizzlies chase elk all over Jackson lodge. While everyone else stopped at dusk we could still see the elk and moose laying down. The range finder is awesome and fast. The best range finder binoculars for the money and a great warranty to top that off.

Without taking a 2nd mortgage on my house, this is by far the best unit I have come across. Simple to use, affordable, excellent focus features and not over bulky. Other units led light features tend to blind eyesight temporarily due to brightness. This unit is by far more forgiving.
