I think that the optic is really the best you can find at a reasonable price. And the site Opticsplanet is affordable and precise. Quick shipping and the best prices of the planet.

Worked great for shotgun hunt!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IL Written on November 26, 2011
I bought this scope to put on my Mossberg 12 gauge slug gun. I was happy to see the manufacturers are putting out scopes designed for shotguns since IL gun season for deer is shotgun or muzzleloader only. I was between the Nikon BDC 200 and this scope. I can't say the Nikon is not as good because I havn't used it, but I did get an 8 pointer down on the first shot at about 60 yards. I will probably need to get some target practice in at distances over 100 yards before next season to know exactly how to utilize the reticle to its fullest advantage. I got "low" scope rings but would probably recommend "medium" due to the 36 mm lens on the front. I was able to set it up where I have just enough clearance on both ends though. I really like this scope and think it works well with the Mossberg.
Pros: Price, quality, features...

Great scopes...Software similar to the Nikon would be great.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on October 30, 2011
If Bushnell had a software package similar to Nikon's Spot-On, this scope would be a complete home run. As it stands you have to shoot lots of ammo at lots of yardages to see exactly what range each graduation will be using your load of choice. I have this scope on my slug gun, a DOA 250 on my muzzleloader and a Nikon Trophy XLT BDC 600 on my 7mm-08. All are great scopes in the $150 range, the Spot-On software makes the Nikon more user friendly.
Pros: bright, clear, affordable, BDC reticle, durable
Cons: no database to see how different loads/cartridges will work with BDC reticle....
