This was my first Gen1 unit and I am not disappointed. A great 2x scope with good features.
The IR illumination is nice for stuff out to 40 yards. Beyond that, look into an external illumination.
Good battery life with a single CR123 cell.
The lens needed a good cleaning right away, but, good optics for such an entry level scope.
Going outside on a cold evening and then back in, it will tend to fog up REALLY easily.
