Purchased this as a backup to my Reconyx camera. Good camera for a great price but no comparision to the best trail cam made, if you are willing to pay four times more for the best. This is an excellent value for the money.

I believe this is one of the best cameras on the market, you get quality pictures or video every time you set it up. Very compact size so you can take several in a backpack. Though this camera has a price that is a bit pricey it is worth the money, competes with cameras costing twice as much and can outpreform some of them. Great camera.

After doing a lot of research on trail cams in this price range I decided to purchase 2 of these cameras to start out. One worked great but the second took continuous pictures in multiple tests & settings. It also had issues with the IR. I could see the sensor activating to take night photos but the pictures were all dark, unlike the other. Overall I can't complain though because it's being replaced as we speak and for the price you're not really going to find a better trail cam.

Pros: Highly recommended for new users
Cons: Optics Planet is an unethical seller

I ordered a promo item from the web site. I was told it was not available and I was offered an "or equal" substitute. The substitution was not equal. Optics Planet did, and still does, advertise the item I ordered. Customer Service could not help me get what I ordered. Jerome, a supervisor, did not return my call. Optics Planet will not honor their offer. I will not do business with this company again.

I was very dissapointed with this product. As soon as I turned it on out in the field it malfunctioned and started taking pictures until it fill the SD card up. When I turned it off it wouldn't power up again. It takes to long to send in and get one back. I am still waiting.

I've used this camera with eight rechargeable AA batteries in temperature ranges from below zero to 70 degrees so far, and it has not failed once to take great pictures. After weeks of use, battery indicator still says full. I have found that it is important to refrain from pointing it in the direction of either sunrise or sunset (if possible) as the warmth of the sun along with movement caused by wind etc will cause the camera to falsely detect and take several pictures of nothing. Repositioning camera will alleviate the issue. So far, I am very impressed with this little camera and would highly recommend it!

The interface for setting up the camera is not easy to figure out. It could be a lot better. I have had Bushnell trail cameras since 2007. Battery life was terrible until this model.
