Pros:  Focus free, widest field of view available, perfect for sport
Cons:  Can break if dropped on concrete! Rubber armour would be good

Pros:  Clear, wideangled view, Fixed-Focus and light.
Cons:  Slightly voluminous body (given size) and some distortion on edge of viewing field.

Typical 7x or 8x binocs don't work as well for a theatrical performance - much of what's on the stage remains outside of your field of view. Haven't tried them yet at sporting events, but I imagine they'd be great, particularly for basketball. A valuabe addition to anyone's collection of binoculars.
