I discovered it by accident trying to setup the unit. After that all went well. So far I have easily ranged objects from 6 yds to 1045yds. My optics are clear - no "dust" spots (actually unavoidable manufacturing spots on the LCD screen - also noted on Nikon website). I had an older RF from another manuf. for several years and am very impressed with this new unit. It has a nice case with magnetic flap, ranges well in low light and bright sun, can be easily used with glasses, has a 2 diopter adj. eyepiece and rubber armor protection.
