I recently received this unit and have not tested the hold-over calcs at the range so that is why I only gave it a 4- if the bullet drop charts are anywhere close to my loads I will then give it a 5 star, which I have no doubts it deserves. The ONLY issue I had was finding the MODE button to enter setup. Nowhere in the docs or on the unit does it mention that the 'B' logo medallion on the side is actually the mode button. I discovered it by accident trying to setup the unit. After that all went well. So far I have easily ranged objects from 6 yds to 1045yds. My optics are clear - no "dust" spots (actually unavoidable manufacturing spots on the LCD screen - also noted on Nikon website). I had an older RF from another manuf. for several years and am very impressed with this new unit. It has a nice case with magnetic flap, ranges well in low light and bright sun, can be easily used with glasses, has a 2 diopter adj. eyepiece and rubber armor protection. Another NICE touch is the battery door - it has a folding tab to help unscrew it- no more fumbling with coins or lost covers! There are more features than some of the other brands in a quality package at an affordable price... hmmm where did I put that other star...
Pros: Compact & Light, Clear optics, Easy to use, Accurate
Cons: No lens covers
