Very heavy duty tripod

by tlee, from United States, GA Written on January 10, 2015
This is a very quality product. I wanted a sturdy and easy to use tripod for my spoting scope. When I go to my gun club I need a tripod that is strong enough but light weight enough to be set up and taken down two or three times but aso sturdy enough not to fall over with a heavy spotting scope. The Bushnell Advanced Tripod was a good choice....

This tripod is a very well made tripod with quality material. I highly recommend it. The price is great. I will use it at the range with my Bushnell Trophy XLT 20x60x65 spotting scope and also looking at stars and planets in the sky. It came packaged very well and shipping was fast....

by Butch, from United States, WV Written on September 5, 2014
Happy with my purchase. The tripod will be used with a spotting scope. The tripod is quite sturdy and so far it appears to be what I needed. What can I say about a tripod, it works. It has adjustable length legs and multible adjustments for height and angle....

Bushnell Advanced Tripod 61" 784030

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 2, 2011
Having never owned a tripod I wasn't sure what to get and I didn't want to spend a lot. This tripod is very good once I figured out how to set up the top mount. I couldn't figure out how to swivel or move up and down to track birds. After much trail and error it sort of clicked.
Pros: value for the price, great starter set-up
Cons: a bit heavy, hard for me to figure out how to turn, swivel...

Good for spotting scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, DE Written on April 8, 2010
This tripod works well right out of the box, and has never failed. It has nice, sturdy quick-release levers so adjustments are a breeze. Rubber tips on ends of legs provide stability on hard surfaces if conditions are windy. If surface is muddy, you might want to add wider platforms (or push legs down into mud). I especially like the padding on the top third of the legs, which makes moving equipment around much easier on the shoulders.
Pros: Quick setup, sturdy, light

Review for Bushnell Advanced Tripod 61" 784030

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on September 22, 2009
I recently purchased the Bushnell Advanced Tripod 61" 784030 for use with my Bushnell 20-60x50 spotting scope that I purchased from OpticsPlanet several years ago. The tripod is lightweight, but feels very solidly constructed. Its fit and finish are superb. Also, since both the scope and tripod are in basic black, they look like a matched set. ...
