The fully multi-coated lenses and edge to edge clarity provide for a bright, clear, distortion-free picture that surpasses that of my Nikon scopes. Right out of the box the fast focus eyepiece and magnification power ring operated smoothly. Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops carry at a regular price of $149 vs. Opticsplanet at $119. I take this opportunity to share my experience with the Bushnell Legend 2X7 rifle scope that I recently purchased from Optics Planet. I moved to Oregon a few years ago and could not wait for my first Elk hunt. I had what I thought was a great rifle for the season; it was a 308 Norma Magnum. I had a good major brand 4X12 scope attached that I had used for many years. I was in for a shock … its field-of-view was too small even at the lowest power, plus it really was not all that bright in early morning and late evening conditions. As an expert big game hunter and target marksman with over three decades of experience with scoped rifles, I can claim that this Bushnell Legend scope is the finest value in optics I have ever used. The clarity in low light and ease of target acqisition have made it a pleasure to stalk deer in the big woods.
