Pros:  Fairly rugged and easy to use
Cons:  LED indicators are too bright, IR is visible

The IR LED is fairly high bandwidth, meaning you can be seen in the dark by the red glow from the illuminator. A lower band IR not visible to the eye should have been used is all.
