Camera Safe for Bushnell

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, VA Written on December 17, 2012
I bought this for my HD bushnell 3 months ago. I replaced the cheap lock with a Master lock. I also had a wire cable wrapped around a tree to secure the camera. Went to check the camera during deer season and the camera was gone. Someone bent the "hinge" enough that it broke and they took the camera. Bought a new camera and decided to make a camera safe out of better material. Bushnell needs to look at how they make their camera case. I'd rather pay a little more for a stronger case then buy a new camera.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: easy to steal...

The Good and the Bad

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on February 3, 2012
The first thing I noticed when I opened the package up was the cheap lock that's supplied. Someone could cut through it with some wire cutters. So it will cost you more money to buy one that is more secure.

The holes in the box are very accurate and allow for one to be able to plug in an alternate power source, use the built-in microphone, and have the camera be able to take clear photos with no problems.

When sliding my camera in and out of the case, I also noticed that 4 of the bolt holes on the back CAN NOT BE USED because of tabs on the camera. These are the main holes for mounting that are useless.

The lid is poorly designed. It overhangs the shell on the front and back. To be able to open it up, you have to mount the box with a gap behind it at the top. This makes for an easier time for a thief to be able to get a prybar behind it and steal it.

So this unit does what it's supposed to do, but it really could use some design changes. As it is now, I would not recommend it to anyone I know.
Pros: It fits my Trophy Camera
Cons: Poor design, needs some work...

Bushnell Trophy Cam Camera Case/119466/119467

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WV Written on January 30, 2012
The lid or top cover is a disaster. there should be a hinge on the top cover (preferrable an internal one)also this case would in no way deter vandals as all it takes to break into the case is a small pair of hand pliers or a screwdriver placed into the slot where a hinge should be and worked back and forth a few times until the metal fatigues and breaks.its a great bear case but the lid or top cover is poorly constructed against vandalism
Pros: light weight, good fit for camera, small and easy to conceal
Cons: the lid or top cover...
