If you are a beginner in the city or suburbs, fighting light pollution, I highly recommend a computer to help you navigate. Very difficult to learn the night sky when light pollution hides stars you need to pinpoint the location of objects. This is all the more important when using a small 60 mm scope like this. Problem is, computerized telescopes with motorized tracking are expensive and can also be prone to electrical and mechanical problems. A "you push the scope" computerized mount, such as the Bushnell Sky Tour keeps things simple, but it really works. Why buy a small telescope without a computer when you can have a small scope with a computer in this Bushnell Voyager Sky Tour? It's worth it just for the computer.
Pros: You get a simple, easy to use computer
Cons: small scope, but will get you started...
