Great product but careful with installation

by Patrick Murray, from United States, WA Written on November 23, 2014
Decided to remove my Magpul angled grip and replace with this unit. I placed added my 1K lumen Nitecore but it did take some tweaking. Since lights are so varied in their diameter, it is important to adjust as necessary. I actually used some coban medical tape to build up the diameter and finished with tacky cloth tape to give the grip's housing a better 'bite' so as mot to slip. Overall, I am happy with this addition to my rifle. It is true, do not place undue pressure on the hex bolts as stripping the threads may happen....
Pros:
  • Functional
  • Well-Made
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Tactical Low Light

I recommend this product

This is a great product. Not only is it National Tactical Officers Assoc. (NTOA) approved and recommended, it is affordable (the Surefire vertical foregrip w/ flashlight costs $550). The grip is quick detachable so it is easy to install and remove from a rail and stays firm while firing. The battery compartment is watertight and will house 3 123A lithium or 2 AA batteries. The pressure switch (to activate an additional accessory such as a laser sight) covers are on both sides of the grip to offer ambidextrous activation and seem to be composed of quality rubber that will not wear out quickly. There is also a safety on the grip to prevent accidental light activation. The only feature this product is missing is a quick release knob to remove and re-install the flashlight after changing batteries. An allen wrench (included) is necessary for flashlight removal and installation.
