The lower handguard is great. It fits tight on my SAR1. As for the upper handguard, there is some play after it was installed. It will move a little from side to side. I would not trust mounting and optic to it because of this.
Nice setup

I mounted this on my wasr just so I could put on a front grip and it does the job very nicely. I like the fact that the rails bolt on, so you can put on whatever rail you want and replace the missing ones with the supplied covers. The only drawbacks are that the plastic looks "cheap" initially, but it is very strong and looks better when installed. I had to do a generous amount of filing to get the bottom section installed. The top section mounted to the tube easily. When reinstalling the gas tube, it was very tight. I had to use a wood clamp to sandwich the top and bottom together so I could push down the latch. After firing a bunch of rounds and getting it real hot, it "seated" and now I can remove and install easily. Anyway, I am sure there are better handguards out there but these are great for the money.
