Charging half the price of the bass catcher for just the mounting bracket is excessive and unfair. It should not be more than $10.00 at the most.

Spare mount for the caldwell brass catcher.

by Jim, from United States, TX Written on January 30, 2015
If you already have the Caldwell brass catcher this is a great spare. Quality part with easy adjustment, no bells or whistles just a solid mount that will allow you to swap your catcher between weapons. You may need medium to high rings if you plan on mounting it under your optics. The low mount rings are to low....

works well in right position

I have used the velco caldwell catchers on various AR's with varying success and with limited success on the SCAR17s.

The pic rail version is much better and with these little gems you can set one up on each rifle once and just move the catcher as needed.
it fit under several scope mounts but not all! Works well on the SCAR with no optics in my experience....

AR Pic Rail

Expensive, but well made and a necessity for using the Caldwell Brass Catcher on other guns. Hopefully, in the future ,the price will come down and other means of shipping will be available. $6.00 shipping on an item this small (USPC) to Texas is too much!...

Caldwell AR Pic Rail Brass Catcher

by gimpyj, from United States, MI Written on September 25, 2014
I had previously purchased a Caldwell Brass Catcher for my AR15 and I really liked how well it collected the spent brass. So, I decided to purchase a couple of the mounting brackets to mount one on my Ruger 10/22 and the other for a spare. I mounted the one on my 10/22 and immediately I started to keep all that empty brass from getting all over my shooting range. The Pic Rail on my 10/22 did not have the cross slots in it so I had to use a file and cut in a slot for the bracket. This took all of maybe 10 minutes and it worked great.
There is very little mechanical knowledge needed to do this job and it could be adapted for I imagine most side discharge guns....

On 4 of my flat tops

by GregK, from United States, CA Written on August 1, 2014
The pic rail mounts for the brass catcher has made life much easier. No more fulling around with velcro straps around scope mounts and sipping down creating an open trap. I have mounted four mount on four rifles in the same position on the rail and only using one catcher in shooting box. I still carry one of the velcro style catcher to use on some of my other rifles or lend to someone at the range....
