The springs are on the weak side when extended in the down position, so heavy recoil could result in the collapse of the legs. The lower legs are very loose tolerance, but not a problem that I can see, just have some play in them.

This bipod was easy to install. I had to buy the sling swivel stud adapter that mouinted to the picatinny rail system. The bipod is light, as rugged as a Harris model at half the price. Not knocking Harris, but this bipod performs as advertised. Light and sturdy.
