Pros:  Rugged, doesn't make a lot of noise and the high visibility side is bright flippin' orange to make you stick out like a sore thumb
Cons:  Heavy, Won't cover anything strapped to the underside of the pack. The 'camouflage' isn't very camouflaged
Would recommend:  yes

I bought the rain cover for my Multicam BFM 500. It fits the pack well enough even when full. I purchased it specifically for the reversible camo/high-visibility option but I'm disappointed at the level of camouflage it provides. I have yet to take a garden hose to it to test it's water proofing so I can't speak to that but here are a few things to take note of: The good: - The design is thick, rugged and seems pretty solid, if somewhat hefty. I have yet to test how well it holds up to rubbing against branches, rocks etc. but it seems like it would fair well. - Form fitting shape coupled with cinch cords help the rain cover stay on the pack. - The material doesn't rustle or crinkle much when rubbing against the pack or itself. - As noted in the pro's line, the orange side is a very visible shade of orange. The only thing I would add to it would be some cat-eye light reflector stripes for high visibility in the dark. The bad: - The only thing 'tactical' about the camouflaged side is the tactical placement of the Camelbak logo, so that EVERYONE can see it. The 'camouflaged' side is one solid color with a huge CAMELBAK logo pasted on it in shiny, black, light reflecting letters. Not exactly inconspicuous. I would have much rather preferred a proper camouflage pattern like the Camelbak packs themselves without the gratuitous, attention grabbing logo. What's the point of having a camouflaged bag when the rain cover ruins your camo? Furthermore, why are there various camo patterned bags but only one ugly shade of camo rain cover? Last time I checked people don't stop seeing colors when it rains. - No cross straps to secure the rain cover to the pack. The rain cover can be cinched down using the built in elastic cords but I would have liked two flat elastic straps going across where your back would be to ensure the rain cover stays on if it gets pulled on or caught on something. - No instructions in regards to how to attach it to the pack. Not difficult to figure out though. - With the rain cover on you won't be able to strap anything to the bottom of the pack. The rain cover hides the strap points on the bottom. If you do have something strapped to the bottom I doubt you'll be able to get the rain cover to fully cover the pack. The same may be true if you have any MOLLE attached equipment on the front of the bag depending on their size. All in all it's an OK rain cover for $20. I hope they redesign it to include some better features and camouflage.
